This unique escape room offers a new experience. Calico Jack's treasure is within your grasp, all you have to do is open the chest. Within one hour, you must solve intricate puzzles and uncover hidden clues to open the chest before the siren's curse drags the treasure, and you, to the cold, dark depths of the sea.

  • Where can I Play Pirate Escape Rooms?

    Our Pirate Escape Rooms are available across Australia. We have venues in Perth and Sydney with our new Melbourne CBD venue coming soon!

  • Are your pirate escape rooms wheelchair accessible?

    Yes, all of our Pirate Escape rooms, are wheelchair accessible. However, please note that we are currently not equipped to accommodate more than one wheelchair per session. 

  • Is there a certain order I need to play the pirate escape rooms in?

    While there is no specific order required, we recommend starting with "Pirates," as it serves as the introductory chapter to our pirate saga. However, each room offers a standalone experience, so you can choose to play them in any order you prefer.

  • What is the minimum age requirement for your pirate escape rooms?

    Our pirate escape rooms are suitable for players aged 9 and up. However, please note that children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.


  • How many players can participate in your pirate escape rooms?

    Each of our pirate escape rooms have different limits on how many people can play at a time.


    Information on the group sizes for each room can be found on the room pages.

  • Do I need to bring anything with me to play the pirate escape rooms?

    Just bring your sense of adventure and a willingness to solve puzzles! We provide all necessary materials and equipment for your escape room experience.


  • Are your pirate escape rooms suitable for corporate team-building events or other group outings?

  • Will our group be playing with strangers?

    At Escape This, all bookings are exclusive to your group. This has always been (and will remain to be) our policy before, during and after Covid.



    If you want to be locked in a room with a group of people you have never met before (some people do!) then we recommend you try another escape room experience provider.

  • How long does each pirate escape room experience last?

    Each pirate escape room experience typically lasts for 60 minutes, during which you and your crew must solve puzzles and unravel mysteries to complete your mission and escape in time.


    However we recommend arriving 15 minutes before your session starts for a quick debriefing.

Got the chance to play Pirates at this location and it was a phenomenal experience! The staff are all incredibly lovely and the quality of the rooms are next to none, did it with one other person and as an experienced player it was a great, but fair, challenge. I came here today with my father to play Pirate Island and it was a amazing experience. I had two different Gamesmasters, one called Alexa, she was very kind and explained the room great , the second person I had was Alex at the end who was very helpful with showing us how the last two puzzles worked. The lobby area was beautifully decorated and the inside of the escape room was great, you could really see how much effort went into the room. Even the outside of the escape room building was done to match the pirate theme. It was overall a great experience and I would highly recommend coming here.
